Please help. Could you please.?
In a 30-60-90 triangle, what is the length of the hypotenuse when the shorter leg is 5 cm?
回答 (5)
r² = 5² + [5√3] ²
r² = 25 + 75 = 100
r = 10 cm____hypotenuse
Twice 5cm or 10cm,. The long leg is 5(√3/2).
You need to memorize those proportions. They come into play over and over again, and you will be much better off if you just memorize them.
The shorter side is opposite the 30-degree angle
Therefore 5/h = sin(30)
h = 5/sin(30)
= 5/(1/2)
= 5 * 2/1
= 10 cm
Memorize this: The sides of a 30-60-90 triangle are in the ratio 1:√3:2
5:5√3:10
The hypotenuse is 10 cm
