Hello I'm a 27 year old man I was raised Christian my entire life, my parents have never spoke of the devil as much as they did God so I really started to think he didn't exist only God did. I work in a office 4 days ago I met this woman she is 25 really attractive to me I started talking to her and we went out last night, she invited me over to get house we did not do anything but have dinner and talk. But I noticed she has theses goat statues on her wall, and many books throughout her home about witchcraft, summoning demons and demonic possession? I didn't say anything about it but when I arrived to work this morning I spoke to my coworker about it and showed him who I am talking to, and said to stay away from her and that she us evil and laughed but he was dead serious he said he knows her family and they are involved with demons and stuff! But Im like how look at her she is about 5'3 long black hair I said if anything she is an atheist, but she have been smiling at me and trying to get my attention all day I am a little afraid of this because of how I was raised, please help me could that be true what should i do!?
There are Satanists, but it is not the reverse-Christian evil religion of rumor and fiction.
There are two branches of Satanism; one is atheistic, Satan is seen as a symbol of fighting religious oppression and man's carnal nature and things like that.
There's also theistic Satanism, in which they believe Satan is a true God who tried to bring man knowledge and self-empowerment, but he was stopped and slandered by the evil God YHWH, who wants to keep man enslaved.
No one worships the Christian devil as Christians see him.
Keep in mind this woman might not be a Satanist at all; she might simply be interested in the occult on an academic level rather than out of belief.
Satanic worship certainly is real, and while for some teens it may just be a stage of teenage rebellion, for others it is a way of life.
Some years back I was in a small town in upstate New York and the couple I was staying with told me that there was an active Satanic group in the area. I young boy had gone missing and the man remembered seeing smoke on a hill deep in the woods behind his house but didn't think anything of it. He said the burnt remains of the boy were found there on a crude altar with Satanic symbols all around.
I sincerely hope that this is the stuff that urban legend is made of, but the man seemed convinced. Either way, there are some very sick people out there.
27 with that kind of grammar?
My advice is to stay as far away from her as possible
At 27 you are a grown man and yet you write and believe things like a 12 year-old.....No devils, no gods, no heaven, no hell, certainly no demons who have sex with people.
Time to grow up.
There are all kinds of people in the world:
-There are genuine "devil worshipers"...those who see the devil as the good guy being "pooped" on by God and his followers.
-Then there are "Satanists" who are actually atheists, seeing 'Satan" as nothing more than a symbol (akin to say, the cross). A symbol representing human's raw, natural selves before all the shame, and guilt is piled on.
Then there are those who use the term "devil worshiper" or "Satanists" to justify being horrific, meanwhile having absolutely NOTHING to do with either devil worshiping or Satanism.
however you were raised does' not matter. yes they do exist and it appears to me she is one. I had a very nice helpful neighbour. when I saw inside her home she had carved an ou*ia (won't type full word) board into her table. some say they are toys or nonsense but I know better. I stayed away from then on and you should too, however friendly she is. for you own sake
I don't know what you should do, but i can assure that Devil worshippers are all too real. Only advice I feel comfortable offering here is "Take Heed." That devil stuff is real at least in the minds of some people.
The goat statues have little religious significance, they were popular in literature and the knights Templar were accused of worshiping it. I have one, and I am not really religious I just thought it was a cool carving. Anyway, if she has witchcraft books she probably belongs to a neopagen group, just ask her, let her explain it to you, she probably is not evil she just probably has a different belief set. But to answer your question there really is no such thing as Devil worship, there is no history of Satan worship before Christian times, it only became popular with the founding of the church of Satan in the 1960s, but they are Satanists in name only as they do not actually believe in a deity, they just have a philosophy they follow, and really there are Christian groups that are far worse then they are. Like I said just ask her, and keep an open mind, if you refuse to associate with people romantically or not outside your fiath your going to close yourself off to most of the world
Do not correspond or have any fellowship with her, lest you be deceived by her beliefs.
Yes, Satanists are for real. I know of a woman who was involved in their church for several years, only getting out of it due to an encounter with the Word of God. Today she helps other Satanists escape and find Christ.
So? Just have sex with her. If she asks you to sacrifice a goat or a baby, say, "No thanks. It's been fun."
