Why can't you? There was a man not long ago who, under the supervision of his doctor, ate only potatoes for a month in an effort to lose weight and it was successful. Potatoes are a good source of fiber, potassium, magnesium, iron, vitamin c, and vitamin b6 as well as having some protein. They're also low in sugar (although they're higher in carbohydrates which can metabolize as sugars)

I don't recommend ONLY eating potatoes as you will be missing some essential vitamins and minerals for a healthy and balanced diet -- but eating a potato a day (or even two) isn't unhealthy.

😉 Bonjour, Hello

If you eat only potatoes = nothing else, so you will have huge lack of nutriments in your body.

~~ Have a nice day ~~

Well, you can. Just mix it up a bit differently each time: mashed, roasted, quartered, mixed with herbs such s rosemary & oil or thyme & oil, etc.

Spuds were the main ingredient in the Irish diet before the Famine.
In some areas herring and milk,if available, were included.

Believe it or not, all you need to survive is butter and potatoes. With skin of course. These two items would allow you to survive indefinitely.
