That's a very broad and generalised question. ANYWHERE is safe to live, provided to heed your instincts and feelings, and don't override them. The vast majority of the world gets on just fine; media plays up isolated incidents to make us afraid of... just about everything.

In site of a American cop. Your life is worthless to them. Murdering lot they be. So not with the American cop problem. Till that is cured never will be safe to live there.

Nope white on white crime is skyrocketing, and I'm white so,..
Between the criminals and the cop who are determine to enforce politeness
of themselves at the barrel of a gun and the police state,.. no.
I fear some day enemies of the state will find themselves in concentration camps.

Safe....safe is what safe does. You can't be stupid you have to be aware of your surroundings and yes prepare for the worst. The minute you let your guard down is when you could get into trouble. Lots of whacko's out there that's for sure Just don't be naive

My bicycle was stolen 2 years ago in Reno. Then there's the idiots like in Chicago in other cities. The blacks in South Florida. Other than that what's your point?

The US is a big place. You can have safer cities or states vs more dangerous.

Safer in Tokyo at midnight than Chicago at noon ...

Yes, for the most part. Like most anywhere on earth, one has to be cautious of 'bad' neighborhoods. In my opinion, driving a flashy car, wearing flashy jewelry, or being a big show off of expensive possessions can get one robbed anywhere; just ask Kim Kardashian, if you don't believe it. Also, one has to practice common sense; lock up valuables in an auto trunk or other safe place. Don't leave doors unlocked. Don't be out on the streets dancing around drunk at 2 am. Try not to carry a lot of cash. Don't put checks in curbside home mailboxes to sit unattended all day. Basically, don't be stupid.
