Should I follow him on instagram? I will answer yours if you answer mine.?

I just make an instagram and there was suggestion/recommendation on people to follow from my contacts and as I was scrolling through, I noticed that my childhood friend has an instagram account ( I have his yahoo email in my contacts) where he posts pictures of fish ( he likes to fish) that he fished. He has another instagram account but it's on private because he has a girlfriend. I haven't seen him in almost 9-10 years. I used to go to daycare with him and his two brothers and then one day they stopped going because they had to move somewhere else and then a couple of years later I stopped going to daycare. I sent a Email on yahoo to him three years ago and he never replied back. We have lost contact and now that I found one of his instagram accounts, should I follow him?
