So let's start off with I'm 15 turning 16 in a week. I'm from Scotland and immstucj with a weight situation, for the past few years I've somewhat over weight abit then I start Thai Boxing and starting losing the weight and then I stopped at mid summer last year and I've noticed I've been putting on the pounds. I weigh 164 pounds which is over weight apparently for my age, I've been going to the gym for about 4 months but i only really do weights to build mucle and I've cut down abit on sugar and fatty foods and for lunch I usually have ham sandwiches and drink sugar free soda or water. So what is the best advice for losing weight as I want to be in shape which I'm willing to do the work for and I'm considering going back to Thai boxing aswell to help, so can someone give me advice please, much appreciated :)

Cut out all junk food and sugar. Even sugar free soda. Only drink water. High protein foods with complex carbs only. Ham sandwiches are not healthy. Lose the bread and turn it into a chicken salad. You need to eat at your maintenance level since you're active. Just to give you an idea, this is what I eat to burn fat and build muscle.

Breakfast after my workout: smoothie made with whey protein and full fat milk

Snack: unsweetend Greek yogurt, granola and blueberries

Lunch: home made chilli or wrap with tofu, veggies and a rice wrap

Snack 2: home made protein bar

Dinner: different every week. Today is pasta made with organic black bean noodles and home made pesto. Yesterday I had tofu stir fry with brown rice.

You can lose 10 lbs/mo with this plan: ................

Breakfast: Oatmeal or granola with banana, berries and nuts..................

Lunch: Half sandwich and yogurt................

Dinner: Green salad with tomatoes, broccoli, shredded cheese, chicken or turkey................ Stick to fresh fruits and veggies, salads, eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, whole grain cereals and drink lots of water. Avoid fast foods, junk foods, greasy foods, sodas, coffee or starches. Noodles, rice, potatoes, bread, muffins, bagels and all forms of pasta turn into sugar in your body. Eat only what fits in a soup bowl. No second helpings. Never eat in; restaurants: food has too much fat, salt and preservatives. And of course do some exercising..........................

Join a gym; the trained staff there will show you what machines to use and for how long to get the look you are trying to achieve.
