Is it ok for me to where girl cloths if i am male?

I don't see why society would consider it different

I know a married man who is very skinny and he often found Men's clothing Small size doesn't really fit him. I mean sizewise fits, but he wanted more "stlye". So, he chose to buy Women's Large. His wife often jokes about it and tell us which jacket he's got is women's. Oh, but he only women's jackets not other clothings.
