People fear the notion of self-responsibility. Trump is no Messiah, but he at least expects people to stand on their own feet and to provide for themselves. Anyone who suggests that people should not be coddled and provided for their entire lives, merely to be dependent children to the government, gets ridiculed for that principle.

People are sheep, and like sheep, they take any immediate criticism of Trump to heart, not to mind. They accept what they hear, and they refuse to understand it from a rational perspective. Because of this, they hate Trump before even understanding the principles and ideas which he presents.
