Why do we celebrate birthdays?
Today's my birthday! Yaay! I've been thinking about why we celebrate birthdays- why do we get rewarded for essentially being born? It's a nice excuse to celebrate but what makes it so special? I guess to mark our ages?

TO HONOR THOSE WE LOVE..Happy Birthday Pisces...Mine is sunday.
It's essentially a celebration of you. It's the day you began your life and a marker in time. Each year is an accomplishment for you and deserves to be celebrated. Those who love you are very happy you were born so they celebrate the day.
To celebrate the anniversary of your birth - people celebrate it because they're happy that you're here, and it's been a milestone since you've been born. It's also a good way of remembering our ages, as you said. Happy birthday though!! :)
to celebrate our time in the world each year with friends / families.
happy birthday!!
if you don't want to, just tell your family and friends not to mention it.
