x² - 25 + xy - 5y
= (x² - 25) + (xy - 5y)
= (x + 5)(x - 5) + y(x - 5)
= [(x + 5) + y](x - 5)
= (x + y + 5)(x - 5)
= (x² - 25) + (xy - 5y)
= (x + 5)(x - 5) + y(x - 5)
= [(x + 5) + y](x - 5)
= (x + y + 5)(x - 5)
