I am wanting to go to a college in June. It is a hair college and the tuition is roughly 15 K. I make 14 an hour and work full time. But im just wondering is it too late to apply for college and such? I need help with Student Loans and how they work too. Can someone guide me through this or help me to understand the process?? I am very sure I want to go in June (this June) as there are bigger and amazing opportunities in that program.

Depending on the school, you might be able to still submit an application. If you research the school you want to go to more, you will find their deadlines for applications. Sorry, I don't know much about applying for student loans. If you are making that much money, you MIGHT be able to pay for tuition the semester or however the school works. Good luck!!

You need to check around; you may even need to move. The school you are considering is WAY overcharging you. By comparison, Our local cosmetology school charges less than $12,000 for tuition AND supplies.

Be careful. There are many so-called "colleges" that TARGET students who feel they cannot, for whatever reason, get into a regular college. They advertise something like "financial aid to those who qualify"... but NONE of that "financial aid" is coming from the school. They simply want your Pell grant or student loan money.

It is not smart to go to school if it means you will be IN DEBT when you graduate. My advice to you is to go IF you qualify for a Pell grant, but do not go if you have to take out student loans.

Instead, consider joining the military. All your survival needs will be met: housing, food, medical care, dental care, vision care, work clothing, and work transportation... AND you will receive a paycheck, most of which you can (and should) save.
You will attain the best physical condition of your life, and you will learn an employable skill. When your enlistment is over, the GI Bill will PAY for whatever college you want to attend = no debt. PLUS you will qualify for veteran's hiring preference at most employers.
