I had a deep cavity and it got refilled but they said it would hurt but now it extremely hurts like its pounding and I'm taking pills for the pain but they're not working
I went to the dentist to go get checked and they said it hurts because it's close to the nerve and they have me amoxicillin 600 and ibuprofen 600 and they dont stop the pain I want it to stop but I don't want to take more pills anymore what can I put or do to help me like where my tooth is located is on the left and it hurts half of my face and and makes me get small headache. Please help

If you have finished the antibiotics and it still hurts then you have an abcess and need it extracted.

Ask the dentist to pull your tooth.

Sorry to hear that, I know how that is. Try soaking your tooth with hot salt water....it helps.

Well if it's s nerve, ibuprofen won't work, I don't believe. I would think that neurontin or a nerve pain medication would be needed. I don't know, my dentist gives my Percocet and Gabepentin, I just snort them every hour or so,
