My brother has a:
HP Compaq dc7800
e6750
small form factor
a -dc 2600
s/n 2UA842082f
p/n GC760AV
one of the rams went bad
it had four sticks of 1GB for a total of 4GB
Now it has 3GB because I took the bad ram out.
What should I do?

You can go to hp.com or crucial.com to find out what kind of ram that PC can take. If the motherboard allows it, you could replace the 1 GB stick with a larger capacity, but first find out if it has a 32 bit or 64 bit OS.

If he wants 4gb of RAM again, ID what the RAM is and buy another stick.
If you look up that model on a site like Kingston Memory it will show which of their products are compatible.
