Do I lose my XX days sober?

If I'm a recovering alcoholic and I used liquor to sterilize a blade I then used to cut myself and I got drunk from the alcohol getting into my blood from the cut does it count as drinking? I'm about to hit 1 year sober and don't want this to mess it up, but would I be lying if I just still claimed sober? Getting drunk was not the intention rather a happy accident.

Oh fer pete's sake. Go get some mental health treatment.

No you're not going to get drunk by cutting yourself with a blade cleaned with alcohol. However, calling this a "happy accident" is just wrong.

By the way, a blade cleaned with alcohol is NOT "sterile".

Worry more about the cutting thing and less about alcohol on the blade.

Yes, you would, if the story was true, but it isn't. In order to absorb that much alcohol from a cut, the cut would have to be so big that you'd bleed to death before you got drunk.

The very fact that you ask this question shows that you have a big problem with alcohol, and are vulnerable to relapse.

For your own peace of mind, as well as to guard against any relapse, sterilize the blade some other how!
