Me and my parents have totally different opinions. I talk about how when I leave the house I would be free. They (my mother, aunt and uncle, father is in Ethiopia on narcotics) tell me if I started working from high school I would get a minimum wage, live in a friends house and live paycheck to paycheck working at McDonalds for the rest of my life and life would be hard. I think that I will start small, and build. The only reason I'm considering going to college is because my mom keeps telling me I have to.
So who should I believe? Them or myself? Am I right or am I just some ignorant 16 year old who hasn't matured yet?
Should you listen to your parents or your heart?

There are lots of people out there who have college degrees who work minimum wage jobs and live paycheck to paycheck. Besides, even if you don't go to college as soon as you finish high school doesn't mean you couldn't go later, in a few years or so.
Just do what you think is best. You're young, you will make mistakes, but you have lots of time to learn from them

I would go to college but after that, and after you thoroly think it through follow what you think is right. Do what makes YOU happy
