I am in the position to, however I am a little nervous. I am currently in kansas city mo, but I want to move to maybe California,New York, Florida. Or Washington? Are these states to big to move and not know anyone? Should I start in a smaller state? I do have 3 small children as well. Thanks!

are you crazy? unless you have a lot of money, the city is way tougher, the more densely populated the harsher and meaner it is, and the worse it is on those three small kids. If you ahd to move some where move to blair nebraska, it is up from omaha, lots of jobs, good schools, and you would be able to stay in a large place, with lots of grass to run out doors on. if you go to the city you might live in a tiny appartment, and have not one blade of grass to enjoy.

size of the state means diddly squat. where do you have a JOB lined up and enough income in the bank to cover 4-6 months worth of living expenses. both NY and CA are VERY expensive.. 3-5 times more expensive than Kansas City

The size of the state doesn't matter, although the size of your town/city might. I've moved many times- 4 different states and several different cities. Small towns can sometimes be easier to make friends in, but there are fewer people to choose from. The kids will make friends at school or in their neighborhoods. Adults make friends at work, church, neighborhoods or volunteer activities. What you want to look at is the cost of living and what you can afford- parts of California are very expensive to live in, while midwestern and southern states have more affordable housing.

What does the size of the state have to do with anything?
