I personally don't care for this name on a girl, but I find it especially terrible for a boy. It's got a very trendy/feminine flare to it and it's definitely much more popular on girls (my little cousin and two of her friends have this name). I think it would be the source of some unnecessary teasing.
A similar name I've heard that's a bit more masculine is Bryson. Perhaps that would work better?
