Do colleges care if my gpa goes down each yeat from freshman year but i still have the required gpa for that college?

While it is absolutely true that admissions committees tend to look at "trends," the "downward direction" would probably be important only if the college were fairly competitive, and several applicants had similar GPA's and test scores. In that event, the committee members would very likely award admission to a student who was improving and moving upward, rather than one spiraling toward the bottom. Of course, nobody but a member of the admissions committee can say for sure, but it stands to reason that a person who is "getting better" has a greater likelihood of finishing school and graduating than a person who is "getting worse" and has a good chance of failing out.

High school grades & being considered for admission? Declining grades are a sign that you are reaching your level of incompetence. In other words, they will suspect you lack sufficient intellectual capacity for college-level work.

If your grades are declining year by year, despite actually working in your classes!, then you need to forget about college & consider alternatives. You simply don't have what it takes for college.
