Does he like me?

I have some really strong feelings for this guy in my grade, and last year hints changed and it seemed like he hated me. Now, it's changed. Because we've been put in the same class, we have to be around each other more (not complaining) and so I guess we're kinda used to being around each other again. It was his birthday not long ago, and when I said happy birthday he replied with "Thank you very much *my name*". Also, we were walking and I was talking to my friend's younger brother and I was joking saying I was hitting on him and my friend told the guy I like that I hit on younger guys (I don't actually) and he said that it was disgusting haha. My friend told me he said that so I said sorry to him and he was like "That's okay, I forgive you *my name*".

Although him and I barely speak, when he walks past me he comes really close, and I don't think him walking close to me is an accident? In one of our classes as well, we have tables set up facing each other and he always seems to sit across from me? He also looks at me a lot. I'll walk into a room and he'll look at me or we'll be in class and our eyes will catch each other. So what do you reckon? Does he like me?

Also, my friend was talking to someone about me and the guy I like walked past and she told me that he smiled when she mentioned my name
