can someone answer this and give me the steps but make the answer obvious and also number the steps

In 6 hours the inlet pipe can fill the empty pool, but in 6 hours the drain can loose half the contents of the pool, so with both fully open, the pool can be half filled in 6 hours, and so it can be filled in 12 hours.

Rate of fill = V / 6 litres / hour
Rate of drain = V / 12 litres / hour
Net fill rate = V / 12 litres / hour
Time to fill = V / [ V / 12 ] hours = 12 hours
