Power of the horse
= F v
= (1000 N) × (5 m/s)
= 5000 W

1 HORSEpower of course.
Even though the wagon has a weight of 1000N it is being pulled along the level on good wheels.
So it takes a force of only 10 N to pull it horizontally.
Giving a power output of 50 W

Now if you were claiming that it took a FORCE of 1000 N to move this cart then it would require a power of 1000 * 5 = 5000 W or about 7 horsepower.

What type of drugs did you feed this horse with?
