How many weight machines are there at a gym?

Call the gym you plan to go to, and ask. It varies. Small gyms have just a few pieces of equipment and machines. Larger ones can have many. I've seen some with multiple rows of treadmills and stationary bikes.

There is no standard number of weight machines at any gym.

Dependable on the gym but I would guess between 30 and 50 different ones.
