Asked a girl for a second date. She said she was busy for the week?

I had a great first date in my opinion with a girl. I texted her the following night saying I had a great time and asked to see her again next week. She replied with saying, "Not sure I'm available this next week since my work load is a bit crazy..." Not sure if this is a blow off text or not. Should I text her asking for when she's free, or take it as a hint she's not interested?

I'd give her a few weeks and if she keeps making excuses, you should just move on and try and find a new girl.

she should have given you positive signal after the 1st date

Ask her for a second date after her busy week is over. Don't be a pain.
If she somehow cannot go on the second date right away, ask her if she wants you to call her again or if she is not interested.
Be nice no matter what.
