PlayStation 4, definitely.

But if you have friends who all play a particular machine, you should choose that so you can play multiplayer games with them. That is probably the most important factor.

Hi, I would wait for the Xbox one Scorpio because it is stronger then the ps4 neo and pro it has the power of a decent gaming PC

Hi John
having never ever used these modern games machines it appears the Sony playstation has some distinctive advantages over an Xbox which will soon be released.

it's all personal preference. that's it. if you want a certain exclusive, get that console. if you want to play with your friends, get that console. if you want Halo, get a Xbox One. if you want Uncharted, get a PS4.

they both cost around $300. they both require $60 / year for online gaming. Xbox One has free backwards compatibility to Xbox 360 games. the list is on xbox.com. PS4 has PS Now, an online streaming only service for PS3 games, which is $45 / 3 months. Xbox one BC is free as long as you own the game on disc or digitally.

Xbox One S does not do 4K Gaming. it does have a 4K Blu-ray player, 4K Streaming. only HDR gaming. 4K Gaming will only come on the Xbox One Scorpio model coming out holiday 2017. PS4 Pro does offer 4K Gaming.

but, if you don't have a 4K TV, it may not be worth it, as you won't see the visual upgrades it's supposed to provide for either console. though, you don't need a 4K TV to run either console, as long as your TV as an HDMI port.

remember, games like assassin's creed, call of duty, battlefield, GTA V, mirror's edge, Madden NFL, NBA, NHL, and other games will be available on both consoles.

xbox live gold customers gets games with gold. that's where you download four games xbox live puts out for free. you get two for xbox one - and two for xbox 360, which will work on xbox one via BC.

Microsoft has a search engine - Bing, along with their own browser - Edge. Between PC and mobile devices, you can earn rewards by searching everyday, up to 300 points a day. Xbox Live Gold for 12 months is one of many rewards you can earn through searching. it costs 30,000 points to earn 12 months of Xbox live gold. if you search every day, it'll take around three months to complete. if you search for the year, you can earn around 36 months of gold. either make sure the digitial code won't expire, and print it out and save it. or, i believe you can add up to three years of total Xbox Live gold on your account.

for Gold right now, look at cdkeys.com. they have discounted prices than the standard $60 for 12 months.
they're basically the same console and can do similar stuff. both have pros and cons. it just depends on which console you won't feel bad about spending $300-$400+ on.
