Will we choose darkness or the light of the world?
Will we see the wonder of it all, the miraculousness of it all... or choose to dismiss it as a big random accident?
He could've just kept us all in heaven, but He wanted us to have complete free will. If we really don't want Him and all He is, we won't find Him. But if we do... we will.

You need to be more specific. Jehovah God, He promises: “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.” (Psalm 37:29). So when you discuss a test you have to include when and how. The test is trying to remain faithful to Jehovah in a world that does not. This world is ruled by satan (1 John 5:19) so its influence will be similar to that of its master. Thats why you see so much violence, hatred and perverse actions taking place. People are products of their environments. Its hard to stay away from doing what everyone around you is doing. That's the only test, the one Adam and Eve failed: will you put your faith in God and follow his rule, or will you choose you own path which like Adam and Eve brought about their deaths and sin to everyone after? Romans 5:12
