Good job at 8.90 an hour??? I can't stop laughing. You plan to pat a $20000 hospital bill with that or do you want the taxpayer to be burdened with it??
The percentage of girls who get pregnant in high school and graduate from college is 5%. The odds are greatly against you finishing school because you will have a child to support and take care of. You don't make any mention of having a husband or father for this child, but children do better when they have two parents to love them and support them. So do your baby a favor and wait until you have finished high school AND college. You'll still want a baby just as much, but you'll be more mature and better able to take care of it.
Just stop. You're dooming yourself and your child to a life of poverty. You have no idea what it costs to live in the real world if you think 8.90 an hour is a "good" job. Wait until after you've finished college and are settled in a job where you can make enough to support yourself and a child. Continue to babysit and work with children since you obviously enjoy that. BTW 2 classes a semester will take you forever to graduate and you won't be eligible for any financial aid.
Ppl will always do what they please. However, if I can give you some information, as life will get harder. Why is there a "Need" to have a baby, Now? Why can't you wait til you finish college, are a bit more mature, know a thing or two about life. Have experienced things, traveled, met ppl, etc... So you will be working full time and going to school, so what about taking care of your child? You will hardly have time for that. Isn't that also important, raising and spending time with your child?
i suggest that you keep babysitting or nannying until you are a fully mature person and have a husband who will be a good father. good luck!
Be careful sweetie. My cousin had a baby at 19 years old.. she was a straight A student in high school and had a full 4 year scholarship. She wanted to become a Physician Assistant but it is such a competitive field you need extremely good grades. After having her baby her grades started slipping and her GPA is now under 3.0, which means she wont be able to do probably anything in the medical field. I would really suggest making sure you can support yourself 100% without your parents help before bringing another life into the world. You sound like a very smart young woman, and you could probably get a degree in just a few years and be totally self sufficient and be able to support a baby and yourself with no problem. Just be careful, having a baby is a HUGE life decision and as a woman you want to have all your ducks in a row so you don't end up being another statistic :).
-Can you rent your own place? (No)
-Can you pay for daycare? (No)
-Are you still dependent on others to help support you? (Yes)
-could you pay for babies' without government support? (No)
-do you have health insurance that covers pregnancy? (Probably not)
all teen girls get Baby Fever. Smart girls wait till that can actually afford and support a child. You can't support yourself and a child on $1700 a month.
It's a lot of pain... Get job then think about it.
I say do what makes you happy. Babies are a handful, but a blessing. Best wishes!
