german shapers are my favorite breed of dog.
Ummmmm.....Neither of them....But my favourite breed of dog is the "German ShepHERD Dog.
German Shepherd. They are very smart, loyal, and beautiful.
When I got married nearly 43 years ago, the first purebred dog my Husband and I bought was a German Shepherd. She was a great dog and easily trained but the hair/shedding almost drove me nuts since I'm a clean freak. It bother me even more after our first Son was born and because mobile, as I was constantly cleaning the floors with having a baby crawling around. After that, our next purebred dog was a Doberman Pinscher. We've owned them ever since and never looked back We've owned them for just about 33 years now and currently have a red and rust almost 7 year old b*tch. I've never been interested in Pit Bulls because they are just not "eye candy" to me. While the appearance of a dog should be very low on the specifications one likes about a certain dog, I personally don't want to actually look at a dog every day for years that I personally don't find attractive.
So, there ya have it. The Dobe is my breed of choice, and in fact I use to show and breed but haven't bred since the late 1990's and haven't shown since the early 2000's. My last Dobe was a red and rust male on a co-ownership that didn't live with me. I already owned an intact black and rust male and it's strongly advised not to keep two male Dobes living together under the same roof.
Shepherd is the correct spelling. Why does it matter what others like? What's more important is what you prefer and are experienced enough to handle and provide care for.
None of these dogs are for the novice first time owner.
Everyone loves a Shepard. Doesn't have to be German Shep. We had 2 full bred and adopted an Aussie mix. Highly trainable, each has their own personalilty & just by size intimidating, therefore good for protection. Can be easily retrained if adopted because they will adopt the family.
Pit is for people that have time to nuture because of the history of this breed. Intelligent pup but I would not bring one into my family without investigating history.
Dobbie is highly intimidating although can be the softest in nature. I would require the history of a Dobbie before adopting around children because they are often utilized as guard dogs.
Your "A" choice isn't a breed. My favorite is a properly bred, working line GSD. The breed name is German Shepherd Dog. Was raised with them, they are spectacular dogs. I don't care for the show line bred dogs at all. Next dog (when I retire) will either be another proper GSD, or maybe a proper Doberman due to all the shedding from a GSD.
N/A. Had a puppy Pom/German Shepard adopt me long ago and was the best mutt I ever had.
I don't like any of them. The Pit Bull isn't even a breed. Not a single legitimate registry recognizes them. These are also the #1 dog for deaths by dog attack (bully breed mutts aka Pit Bulls). German Shepherds are #3 and Doberman's a bit farther down at #7.
So a question for you - what sort of experience do you have in training stubborn, aggressive dogs that would compel you to foolish want one of these beasts?
cavoodles are probably the best but out of those maybe a german sheppard
german shepard because they are so cute when their puppies
The German Shepherd Dog!!!!! I have owned the breed for the past 29 years and have never had any problems with them. I do try very hard to make sure my dogs are socialized, and well behaved. I love how loyal they are. Plus I think they are just ABSOLUTELU BEAUTIFUL dogs to look at. They are very majestic to look at!!!!!
I have always wanted a German Shepard and haven't gotten one..YET but I love pit bulls we have had 3 diff Pit bulls they are soo sweet and if your looking for good boy Pitt names we named our 3: roqua, casmo, and sebastian
Doberman are lovely looking dogs- but where i live these breeds are simply used as guard dogs and i dont actually think i've seen one as a pet before. I know of a distant auntie of my father who resides in Finland, she breeds pure Dobermans, simply stunning creatures.
German Shepherds are loyal yes, many i've seen do tend to be brought from puppies, raised around the family life. However when younger i had a couple who lived next door, they had an american white German shepherd bi**h & a East-European Shepherd to which had puppies. Gorgeous combination, not so great social wise. Aggressive, vocal. They would sit watching through the fence, eyes fixed on the children, the couples daughter came once, the dogs were ordered to be put down after that, left her in a very bad state. **although mainly an owner vault** But my opinion No, i don't like them breeds.
Pit bull, isn't that really just a catagory name for the TYPE of dogs. Well this one is debatable i have a Ridgeback X American Pit Bull Terrier rescued. Since he has been re-associated with dogs, played with toys (as he never knew what these was) and has become a 'helper' dog for myself and my condition. Being part pit and rescued,he has been deemed safe by police to not be euthanized. He simply loves to lounge on the settee snuggled up to me. He has great alertness- My partner works security,he sometimes come and patrols the yards with him. Fantastic with commands however it is a shame many people dont treat this breed correctly, or dont train them correctly which will result in a dangerous dog.
ANY of these breeds can attack unprovoked, ANY of them can be aggressive or can be a big fur baby..It all depends.
Neither of these breeds are for the in-experienced.
B: german shepard then a pitbull
