Withdrawing from NAFTA would Effect US jobs as well as it would jobs in Canada and Mexico, and renegotiating means you may have to give up something to get something. Negotiations would probably take years.

Withdrawal can prove to be a jobs disaster and cause a recession.
Many cleaver people have worked this out to benefit the US.
The new president sees things very simply and rushes into statements. He then feels unable to change his mind.
He us also trying to see he us doing things. A common business practice that often ends up costing money.
Tax cuts have to be paid for by someone.
Taxes on goods arriving will be met by taxes on exports.
The US exports a lot of goods and agricultural produce.
The manufacturing can easily move away.
This can lead to an isolationist economy. This is always a bad idea. The US strength is manufacturing. No exports is a very bad place to be.

Trump said...don't tell your enemies what you are going to do. Well Trump just told china the door is open to the countries involved with trade. so why withdraw from NAFTA without having agreements with other trade partners first. I do not believe Trump has sound business practices. SO NO !

Realize that any change to NAFTA is going to take years, thousands of lawyers, and hundreds of millions of dollars.
Do not believe the Trump claim that he is somehow going to end it tomorrow.
And remember that yes Bill Clinton signed NAFTA but it was a Republican negotiated deal that began with Bush Sr., approved by a majority of Republicans in Congress, and beneficial to many national and multinational corporations who have 'ties' to many members of Congress.
