I'm 18 and female.
My doctor ordered a blood test to test my hormones, and I'm super scared to get it done. I'm scared that I will pass out or feel faint. How many vials will they take?
Here is what's being tested..
HbA1C
TSH
Creatinine
Vitamin B12
Ferritin
CBC
Does all this mean there will be lots of blood taken?
Thanks in advance.

Even for a complete bloodwork, 3 vials is about all they will take, and that is not a lot at all. In your case, 2 vials may be all.
The worst will be some discomfort when they insert the needle, the rest is insignificant.
If you are one of those that might faint with the sight of blood, simply look at something on a wall, the whole thing is over in a matter of moments.

Ask to lie down while they take it. They always accommodate ME. Don't look while they do it. With me, they take 3 little vials. It's over with very quickly. Drink 16 or 24 oz of water before you go there.

No they will take the normal amount I get my blood taken every 3 months the trick is to cough right when the needle goes into your arm and then just don't look at or think about the needle in your arm
