Is there a possible way to get taller with exercises?

Im 16, sophmore in high school and im 5'4 or 5'5. I workout lifting weights but also regular workouts that use no equipment like pushups and squats. In school last year, ive squatted with a bar with some weight on it. The weight was really not much but I still fear this may have affected my growth. I really want to grow taller. I wanted to know are there any workouts that help grow? I fear its based on genetics though.

lifting weights won't effect your growth rate

You're 16, you still have a fair amount of time. There are exercises online that supposedly help you grow taller - I don't know how effective they actually are. One is to bend over and touch your toes every morning or something like that. You could try that or just let nature take its course.

Taller? I don't think so. But.....
Get a high bar, an inch or two higher than you are with your arms held above your head. Hang onto the bar for some time over the course of time. Might work *shrugs*

Just be a super-strong midget ;)
