Dear Yahooers,

I m confusing one of the question under EEA[PR] Application Section 9, 9.1. Should I answer Yes/ No / Not Applicable?

The question is: If you’re applying as the family member or extended family member of the relevant EEA national named in section 2, or because you have retained your right of residence, does the relevant EEA national have a document certifying permanent residence?

PS: I m applying for my own, I have a valid Portuguese ID. I have been studying and working for the pass couple of years.

The answeer is "not applicable" since you do not apply as a EEA family member but as an EU citizen on your own. Make sure you can show/prove that you have made use of your EU/EEA treaty rights in the UK for at least five years. Lots of applications fail since students were not able to show that they were properly health insured (EHIC) during their studying time (when they have not been working and were not covered by the NHS).

" 2, or because you have retained your right of residence," Yes (as an EU national)
