Has anyone ever invited someone to something hoping they wouldnt come? If so, y invite them if you dont want them attending?

They do that because they don't want to cause a rift between them or get talked about that you didn't invite them.

No, but I was the only person in our whole family not invited to my cousin Mary Claire's wedding and I took that personally and hated h r it for years. We've since made up though.
