What will happen to my job?

I went for an interview and accepted a job offer then literally 2 days after this I fell over and have a suspected broken wrist. I have been back to the hospital twice for X Rays but they have all been inconclusive and so I have had to wait for an MRI. I have just been given an appointment and it is after the start date of my new job. I don't think I am going to be able to start my new job as it's a very manual job working in a hospital and I am worried about damaging my wrist further. I thought my wrist would of been healed by now and with all the hospital checks I was given a start date of 2 months away from the interview anyway so didn't think I would have to tell my new employers but now I think I'm going to have to. Will they delay my start date or just terminate my contract as I have not yet started?

Inform your employer. Show the medical certificate or anything need to prove the case. It's up to them to decide whether or not to wait till you get healed.

No way for us to know. You need to call them now if you can't do the job. Tell them what happened and ask if you can still be hired when your wrist is healed and that you will let them know as soon as the MRI is done what the status of your injury is.
They will do what they feel is best.
