Is this a gross joke to make or not?

For some context, I had my first OBGYN appointment last month. I got all the necessary exams done and even though it was very invasive/uncomfortable, I needed to go.

Today when I'm out eating with my parents, the subject of weddings comes up and I joke around about how I may or may not wear white at my wedding because of the sexist history of purity/virginity that comes with it(that I may wear champagne instead). My stepmother then makes a joke about how I can "thank my GYNO for taking my virginity".

I'm kind of appalled that she would make a joke like that/imply that and it really grossed me out. Idk how would you feel if your parent said something like that to you?
