Because its a therapy method used for greater good.

No therapy is easy but you'll get worse if you dont

Hypnosis is a state of extreme suggestibility, but it isn't a form of control. A person who has been hypnotized still can't do anything that they would not do while not hypnotized.

hypnotism is bogus the most that can happen is a state of relaxation

Actually with hypnosis the person has to be willing to be hypnotized in order for it to work.
