Poll (for straight guys): how do you feel about tall girls?

Recently I found out I grew in height even though I'm already 18, I'm now a little over 1.74m (5'8.5) and I might very well reach a final height of 1.75 (5'9). This worries me a bit, since I hear guys say all the time that they prefer short girls. Would you guys find it a turn off if a girl is tall, even if she is otherwise attractive and nice? And do you consider it a problem if a girl is taller than you, even if she does not mind? Please tell me.

5'9 is acceptable. It's more the 6 ft+ range that can be a little of a turnoff. I can handle a girl being roughly the same height as me, but if she's towering over me it's a little awkward.
