Why is my check fuel cap coming on? (again, I'm sure the check engine light will come on after like last time)?
Used car bought from a guy who had his dealer license and he fixed it all up.
Car runs fine, doesn't spit or sputter. Has 153k miles.
Treat it like its my baby. I never let the low gasoline come on, if it does I don't drive with it for long and I don't take it on trips. To work and back and to my boyfriends house.
What the heck is going on???!!! I don't really have a whole bunch of money to spend on taking it into a shop.

You must make the fuel cap make 3-4 clicks when putting back on after putting in gas.
The gas cap may be bad.
I've seen way too many people with a dealer license that buy auction cars that are pieces of **** and they do the least amount of work and then sell the vehicles to unsuspecting people because they are used car salesman, the lowest life form on this planet. If your CEL comes on go to an auto parts store and have the codes read for free. Then repost here with the actual codes ...not what the salesperson "thinks" the problem is.

Why is my check fuel cap coming on?......................Because the cap is loose or the seal is bad. See if its tight or go buy a new one they don't cost that much.
Your gas cap is either loose or it needs to be replaced. Go to the dealer that sells your brand of car and get a new cap from their parts department. They are not very expensive.
