as the stress starts to buildup over whar to be when i grow up ( im 16 and a half), me and a bunch of classmates were discussing what we want to do. and journalism seems to be what i love.
i love books, and when it comes to writing i get around 75/100 but the teacher always enjoys my essays. im the only one in class who doesnt mind writing essays on a friday for 2 hours before going home.
i would love to be able to go to places ranging from far away and isolated places to the middle of a city to find, discover and tell the world about it. id love the chance to go to a city in war, right in the middle of it to report how the people fare, how serious the situation is..etc etc.
i want to learn the language of a tribe and live with them for a while to understand their culture and community. i dont fancy the idea of sitting in an office all day. i want to be able to go out, no matter what time and build connections and trust with others.
is this what journalism is? if not, what can i major in?
what requirements must be met?

Some of the things you describe are what anthropologists and sociologists do. Your best bet would be to get as well-rounded an education as you can: learn everything you can about history and social sciences and literature and geography and the physical and life sciences. Then you will be in a position to spend your life learning and writing about anything.

You're on the right track.
