Is he being immature?

My so called "friend" deleted me off Facebook because I did not reply to his message. I said "Thanks for deleting me. I never respond to anyone because I'm busy." I do have a pretty busy schedule. He told me "Oh but you update your status". I update my status and rarely check my messages. I said "Well I'm not gonna argue. Merry Christmas!" His reply "Whatever." I was trying to be nice. He's 22 and lives at home. He's never worked a day in his life. I'm 19 and work 30 hours a week and attend college classes. He does not know anything about the real world. I thought he was my friend, but guess not.

he sort of is... its hard to balance friendships and a busy schedule and it is easier to update a status than starting a full blown conversation.. but try to see it from his perspective he may just feel a bit ignored so try and sympathize but you arent reallly wrong

You already know he is. Nobody has to live 24/7 on Facebook. And nobody is expected to either.

I've had friends unfriend me for the same reason. I've had friends not reply to me and that's okay. One friend replied to me 4 DAYS later because she was prepping for her wedding. So yeah, she has an excuse.

Did you tell him you update your status and rarely check your messages? If not, try it.

Okay if hes not your friend then shut him out your life and find a new friend hes not the only fish in the sea and not the only important one . Stop trying to make him happy . He has no life , oh well . He just wont understand too bad for him , move on !
