If you're not having a conversation with anyone by making videos how can YouTube be class as a social media platform?

Social media isn't always about a conversation. Some time it's about just saying something and then leavin it open to comments. Plus a large number of YouTube videos and responses to other videos anyway.

Videos are media, and they're social because anybody can post or watch them.
