Do I get paid?

I have a new job at Arby's. I was supposed to be working 5 hours and I ended up working 3 hours and a lil bit over 30 mins and I took at 30 min break to go to the store and it's the end of the week so they're paying and I earn 8 dollars an hour that's 28 dollars 😕 I'm a team member and I don't think I get holiday pay and I was wondering if I still get paid but with tax that's like 10 dollars. Life is stressful for a 16 year old in 2016.

Of course you should get paid. If you don't, you can contact labor commissions department in your state to inform them of this.

If you worked this week and today is pay day, you may not get paid until the next pay cycle. (Accounting needs a week to process your time card and issue your check / direct deposit.) Just ask your boss when you'll be paid.

(On a personal note, I've got three kids, two of them your age. Pay attention at work and do a good job, even if this is a shitty job. Bosses are desperate for employees that show the slightest modicum of ability, so you can be a star there just by not being a total fuckup. Good luck.)

I'd love a beef an cheddar and a jamocha shake too. Yummm.

Yes, but if you don't you will need to contact the Labor Board.

Yes you still get paid for the hours you worked for. Don't get cheated out of it and make sure you get it.

If you work even an hour they are legally obligated to pay you.

You only worked 3.5 hrs, x 8.00 = $28.00
You shouldn't be taking a 30 minute break if you only worked 3-5 hrs, 30 minute breaks are payed lunches where you punch out and in for. Even if you work the extra 30 minutes your break is still deducted from your pay check. Next time only take a 15 minute unpaid break.
Depending on how much your taxes are and if any other fees get taken out of your pay check, it does work out.
Have a closer look at your pay check, it should tell you how much money is taken out and what it goes to.
If it still doesn't add up then get your pay check and your bank statement. Talk to your boss about it and or some one in the pay roll department. Some one just may have goofed.
