Substitute in for .x. ; 1.5
Hence
f(1.5) = 1 / 1.5
This means '1' divided by 1.5
1.5 as a fraction is 1 1/2 , and as an 'Improper fraction' is 3/2
So changing
f(1.5) = 1 /(3/2)

This is division of fractions . Remember the rule 'CHANGE THE SIGN TO MULTIPLY AND INVERT THE DENOMINATOR' , then proceed as for multiplication of fractions.

Hence
f(1.5) = 1/1 x 2/3 = 2/3 = 0.6666.... The answer !!!!!

f(x) = 1/x tells you what to do with any x. You take its reciprocal.

f(1.5) would be 1/1.5. Replace "x" by "1.5". I'm not sure where the confusion is here.

f(2) would be 1/2. f(105) would be 1/105. f(pi) would be 1/pi.

f(1.5)=1/(1.5)=10/15=2/3

2/3

f(1.5) = 1/1.5 = 1/(3/2) = ⅔

f(x) = 1/x for x > 0
f(1.5) = f(3/2) = 1/(3/2) = 2/3
