People change, I am proof. I despised the cat I grew up with, still do she is a jerk! I was terribly allergic and she was mean! I firmly believe dogs were superior. After my Mom died though I got lonely and couldn't have a dog in my apartment and my ferrets had died, they live too short for how amazing they are. So I felt so stuck and fell in love with my best friends mane coon who cuddled me when I slept over her house. Shortly after I adopted a cat from a shelter and couldn't be happier. It is weird having cat but I don't feel so lonely anymore and I know we have many years together to look forward to. She even is getting along with our new ferret :)

Cats are great pets. They don't bark at night. Or need to be taken out to do its business. That's good when there's a storm outside and your cat has to go potty. Just keep the liter box clean and always treat your pet with lots of love.

Yeah! Yes I do. We've got five of them; and one is like a shadow, and my constant companion. What don't I like about cats? I don't like the fact that they don't bark (or alarm) at night in the same way that dogs do.

I'm also a retired search and rescue, attack/guard dog trainer and breeder; so it goes without saying that I'm especially partial to dogs, as well. I love dogs for one set of reasons; and I love cats for another. In my experience cats are, also, a whole lot smarter than many people seem to think. (Quite honestly I used to be one of them, too!)

We've got a Maine Coon cat that — and I hesitate to post this on the internet because it sounds a little bit like all too common, 'internet bullhooey', but — our Maine Coon cat once saved my life! (I swear!)

How did he do it? I was overcome by carbon-monoxide gas; and, without realizing it, I lost consciousness and passed out. I would have stayed that way too if our Coon Cat hadn't realized that I was in trouble, raked his claws over my forearm, and bit me, hard, on the leg!

His persistence finally woke me up; and I just made it to the door, and opened it before I collapsed again; but, by that time, I was out in the fresh air again, and safe from the fumes.

I love cats. I always seem to just bond with every cat I come across. Whether it's a random cat I met on the street or a friend's cat who is crazy, I just always bond with them somehow. I have had cats for my whole life but don't get me wrong I love dogs too. I love cats just a little more though because they don't get you fined for howling and barking at midnight.

I used to not care for cats when I was a kid. I never had animals but I loved dogs. I'm allergic to cats so they never interested me until about 10 years ago my neighbor gave me her cat because she was old and couldn't take care of him and I loved him even though he was the typical grumpy cat and then about two years ago a stray kitten kept coming to my house. she's the most nervous cat I've ever met but she loves affection and I now own two cats who I love so much and really consider them as my children lol

yeah but not when they start behaving like dogs (start giving too much attention). I have never owned cat but I give food to stray cats, they hang out around my house most of the time and start rubbing their back on my legs, etc... something I liked initially but not now.
