應有兩種意思，如"因太認真而輸了"(可能因為過於專注，而忽略其它的事項，導致輸了）。及"輸給了認真的人"或"輸了，因不夠認真"。

Losing ( Failing) because of earnestness..

如是後例
Losing(Failing) owing to(because of) less earnest.
