I just received an envelope from Blue Cross Blue Shield and it has two bills in there.?

I've been with Blue Cross Blue Shield for over 1 year and never got this problem before. The coverage date on the two bills are the same, the only difference is the amount of money I have to pay and the due date of the bills. One says upon receipt, the other says 1/1/2016. Does anyone know why they sent me two bills at the same time? I don't get this.

Call the customer service line, and inquire what is going on. Could be an error, could be they have not credited an earlier payment.

Why did you "do the healthcare thing two weeks ago" as you stated in one of your comments? Was your current 2016 plan terminating? If not, it's possible you might have signed up for a second plan.

Did you by any chance forget to pay for December? Ask them, we would not know. I have BCBS of IL, but have not received my Jan bill yet because I just did the healthcare.gov thing last week.
