The games are practically identical but with a different skin, BF4 has a modern skin whereas BF1 has a WW1 skin, the games feel the same, act the same and play the same. If you were to choose then go for BF1 as it is new which means it has a bigger player base than BF4

similar gameplay. but, BF 4 is set in modern warfare times, while BF 1 is set in WW I game play.
