Math practice quiz question?

Not sure if you mean x-½ or (x-1)/2.

h(x) = x-½
h⁻¹(x) = x+½

h(x) = (x-1)/2
h⁻¹(x) = 2x+1

The notation
H−1
means the inverse function. The equation of the inverse function can be found by switching the
x and y values inside the function.
y = x - 1/2

x = 2 h + 1...thus your writing h^-1(x) = 2x + 1
