What's wrong with my laptop?

First Issue: Red x over speaker icon on task bar and it says "No audio output device is installed". Sound does not work with headphones or with speakers

2nd Issue: Screen glitches out a couple times a minute. When I watched it on my phone's slo-mo camera it looks as if the task bar fades, and then the top portion of the screen (the part with the x, minimize, tabs open, etc) moves down towards the bottom of the screen. Very odd.

2 Things happened just before I started noticing this that may be the cause.

1. Windows 10 update.
or
2. Someone dropped my computer.
It was dropped about 3 feet while closed, turned off (it may have been finishing updates up, but I'm not sure), and in a sleeve made of thin material. It was also in a bag. 2 layers of protection.

This seems like a software problem, but I don't know. What do you think?
