Should a Christian go to a Catholic nativity scene?

*CHRISTIANS/CATHOLICS ONLY* A family friend is Catholic, and she wants my family to walk through a nativity scene with her. My family's making me go, but I'm strictly Christian. Are Christians nativity scenes different than Catholic ones? Is it a sin for me to go unwillingly?

Perhaps you need to get a little education as to the history of christianity. Catholicism is a christian religion. Only very stupid people believe otherwise. If it wasn't for catholicism, there most likely wouldn't be modern day protestant sects of christianity.

And it would prevent you from embracing yourself on the internet.

If you were "strictly Christian" then you'd know that Catholics are also Christians.

Christians', not Christians. It's possessive so you need an apostrophe. Different from, not different than. Learn proper grammar. Catholics *are* Christians - how can you not know that? You are very confused. There is no such thing as sin.

IMO, you should go ... willingly.
I am not Catholic, but I have many Catholic friends.
Do I have "issues" with Catholic theology and practice .. .yes, some very significant.
But we both seek to know and follow Christ in different ways.
This is not "a hill to die on" (or to end friendships over).

Of course, there is no difference.

With love in Christ.

I'm afraid that you'll discover that Catholic Christian nativity scenes are pretty much the same as Protestant Christian nativity scenes. Can't have any new knowledge, now, can we.

Are you kidding?

Go, you might learn something. I've never heard of the Strictly Christians. Are they an offshoot of the Baptists?

Catholics are Christians. There is only one kind of Nativity scene and it is the same for all Christians.

Yea, if you want. There might be some small differences, but even then, it hardly matters. It's all christianity in the end.

Not at all. Catholic is a Christian religion, just the most disobedient of obeying religions.
Religions like the Presbyterian and Episcopalian that have decided to permits homosexuals in; according to 1 Corinthians chapters 5 & 6, disqualifies them as even being "Christian".
Protestant is the title all the other obeying Christian religions call themselves to separate from Catholic. Both are Christian.
