whats gets more combat and deployments?

You can want all you want, but the Army doesn't really give a sh*t. You're going to go to whatever unit the Army needs you in.

I know lots of guys who went straight to armored units after finishing Airborne school. I know even more guys who are fit and capable enough to join specialized outfits, spec ops, etc who aren't ever going to get in because their leadership is playing f*ck f*ck games with them.
